Dr. Murtaza Sundhu
This week on April 26th, Dr. Sandhu of the Georgia Heart Institute joins The Weekly Check-Up.
Dr. Sundhu is a cardiac electrophysiologist with Georgia Heart Institute. His main clinical interests include minimally invasive procedures such as premature ventricular contraction (PVC) ablations, ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablations, and pulsed-field ablations, as well as left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) device implantations to reduce stroke risk in patients with atrial fibrillation.
While technology is an important part of his practice, Dr. Sundhu is mindful of the importance of human interactions with patients. “Many of the patients have already been through three different specialists before they see an electrophysiologist,” he says. “They are looking for answers, and they want to be heard. Just listen to them, and half the problems are solved.”
