Dr. Stanley Fineman of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma
Dr. Stanley Fineman of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma joins us on April 17 to discuss the recent study that outlines what the earth’s changing weather is doing to pollen seasons and what to expect over the next decades. Dr. Fineman is currently in private practice at Atlanta Allergy & Asthma. He holds a teaching appointment at Emory University School of Medicine as Adjunct Associate Professor, Dept of Pediatrics. Dr. Fineman received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, his postgraduate residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and Allergy/Immunology Fellowship at Harvard/Boston Children’s Hosp. Dr. Fineman received his MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Dr. Fineman has been active in International Allergy organizations including recently serving on the Board of the World Allergy Organization. He is a Past President of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology where he continues to serve on several committees. He was awarded the prodigious ‘Gold Headed Cane’ representing professional achievement by the ACAAI in 2020. He is also Past President of the Southeastern Allergy Association where he received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. Locally he has served as President of the Georgia Allergy Society and the Cobb County Medical Association.
Dr. Fineman is current ‘Editor in Chief’ for the publication Allergy Watch and serves on editorial boards of Annals of Allergy and Allergy & Asthma Proceedings. He has served as principal investigator in over 40 clinical research studies and is currently investigating potential therapies for food allergies. Dr. Fineman is a frequent lecturer at regional, national, and international medical meetings. He has been a co-host for the podcast ‘AllergyTalk’ discussing current medical literature monthly.
Dr. Fineman lives in Atlanta with his wife, Judy. They have three children and seven grandsons. He enjoys golf, skiing, drums, and bicycling.
