Dr. Fadi Nahab of Emory Healthcare
In honor of Stroke Awareness Month, Dr. Fadi Nahab of Emory Healthcare will be joining us on May 2 to discuss stroke warning signs, prevention, and treatment.
Fadi Nahab, MD is a board-certified Vascular Neurologist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He obtained his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internal medicine internship at UCLA-Olive View followed by his residency in neurology and fellowship in vascular neurology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
Fadi Nahab, MD is the stroke quality director for Emory Healthcare and his practice is based at the Emory Clinic. His research interests include the treatment of cryptogenic (undetermined cause of) stroke, role of dietary behaviors on stroke prevention, acute stroke treatment, carotid stenosis, the treatment of intracranial atherosclerosis, fibromuscular dysplasia, and the evaluation and management of transient ischemic attacks (TIAs).
Dr. Nahab has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and is a professional member of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association with numerous accolades to admire. He has been featured as a Top Doctor in Atlanta magazine, along with Castle Connolly Top Doctors honors. He is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and is a recipient of the Resident Faculty Teaching Award at Emory University, Department of Neurology.
