Dr. John Stites of Georgia Urology
On March 17, Dr. John Stites of Georgia Urology will join us for a kidney cancer awareness month special.
Dr. John Stites earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Tennessee in May of 2006, and after continued research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, he completed his medical education at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in July of 2011. He moved to Brooklyn, New York to complete his urology residency at Brookdale and Maimonides Medical Centers in 2017.
Dr. Stites is a member of the Endourological Society, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, and the American Urological Association. He has published multiple articles in international peer-reviewed literature and contributed as an author on the surgical anatomy of the adrenal gland for definitive urologic references. He has presented research at multiple national and international conferences on topics including urogenital reconstruction, comparative surgical outcomes, advanced approaches for complicated prostate and kidney diseases, and surgical management of high-risk patient populations.
His areas of clinical expertise include robotic surgery for prostate cancer, benign prostatic enlargement, complex kidney surgery, and adrenal surgery, as well as complex kidney stone surgery, male sexual dysfunction, and incontinence.
After completing an Endourological Society accredited fellowship in endourology and advanced minimally-invasive urology in 2018, Dr. Stites is excited to continue his work in the Atlanta area providing comprehensive care for urologic malignancy, obstructive uropathy, upper and lower tract reconstruction, and complex kidney stone diseases.
