Dr. Renjitha Ignatius of Florida Cancer Specialists
On July 28, we will be joined by Dr. Renjitha Ignatius of Florida Cancer Specialists. She will join us to discuss bladder cancer, which is the 4th most common cancer among men in the U.S.
After joining Florida Cancer Specialists within the past year, Dr. Renjitha Ignatius will now be practicing at Sun City Center. During medical school, Dr. Ignatius had the distinct honor of graduating among the top five students in her class. She completed both her Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Medical Oncology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Royal Oak, MI. Before moving to Florida, Dr. Ignatius served as Associate Professor for Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and was in private practice for six years in Royal Oak, MI.
Dr. Ignatius has been an active participant in numerous multidisciplinary tumor clinics and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the prestigious Journal of Clinical Oncology. Her areas of interest include malignancies of the breast, head and neck, as well as gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. Dr. Ignatius has extensive experience in treating patients with central nervous system cancers, lung cancer and hematological conditions. She believes in personalized care for patients, utilizing the best evidence-based treatments available. Residing locally with her husband and three children, Dr. Ignatius is fluent in three languages and enjoys painting, listening to audiobooks and spending time with her family and friends.
