Sue Schroeder of CORE Dance

Sue Schroeder founded CORE Dance, formerly Several Dancers Core, in 1980. Throughout her 33 years of experience as a choreographer, Sue has developed relationships with emerging and world-renowned artists, transforming CORE Dance into an internationally acclaimed company, known for its riveting, passionate, and unique work.

On September 13 and 14, 2013, the CORE Performance Company will kick-off their 27th season in Atlanta with a performance at the Performing Arts Center of Decatur High School. They will perform Sue’s original work, still. Inspired by the poem, “La Escuela,” by Garcia Lorca, still embodies Sue’s signature style of movement, revealing the intimate alongside the archetypal. Other original works to be performed include Web by guest artist, Becky Valls, and Monochrome in Black, White, and Gray by members of CORE Performance Company.

Harris Botnick of Worthmore Jewelers
