Dr. Kathrine Tan of AllCare Georgia

On June 28th, Weekly Check-Up Atlanta is joined by our friend Dr. Kathrine Tan from AllCare Georgia, who will be discussing her clinical care at the practice, as well as her background as a public health expert at the CDC. Dr. Tan earned her medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento and later obtained a Master of Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her residency in Family and Community Medicine at UC Davis Health, also in Sacramento, where she served as Chief Resident and was recognized as Outstanding Resident of the Year and Alumna of the Year.

‍With more than 20 years of experience in clinical consultation and public health, Dr. Tan has worked extensively at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, focusing on advancing health equity on a global scale. She has also served as a Medical Director for Clínica Tepati in California, providing free medical care to uninsured populations.

As a family physician, she values a patient‑centered approach and partners with patients across all stages of life to prevent disease, manage chronic conditions, and support long‑term health and well‑being.

‍She finds the greatest reward in building meaningful connections with her patients and helping them achieve their individual health goals. Dr. Tan is committed to providing inclusive, accessible, and compassionate care and strives to be a trusted clinician and advocate for every patient she serves.

‍Dr. Tan is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine, Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and The Menopause Society.

‍Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, hiking, kayaking, traveling, and cooking. She lives with her husband and two children.
