Dr. Paula Greaves of WellStar Health System

This week, on October 5, The Weekly Check-Up is joined by the Chief of Women’s Service line for Wellstar Health System, Dr. Paula Greaves.

Dr. Paula Greaves earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri in Rolla, MO and Master of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. In 1993, she obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, N.C. In 1997, after completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN she moved to Marietta, GA. Since then, Dr. Greaves has been a practicing physician at Wellstar Northwest Women’s Care. After serving in various leadership positions, she was selected as Chief of Women’s Service line for the Wellstar Health System.

Dr. Greaves is a frequent speaker for various community organizations. She is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is passionate about decreasing maternal morbidity and mortality, as well as caring for menopausal women. Her Service line motto is caring for “Every woman every time, at all phases of life.”

Being a native from the Republic of Panama, she is fluent in Spanish which enables her to care for women of various backgrounds.
