Dr. Ammar Hatab, Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates

Dr. Ammar Hatab of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates joins us on April 27.

Dr. Hatab is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who has been practicing since 2005. He is the medical director for Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates, one of the premier allergy and immunology groups in the Tampa Bay area that has been providing care to children and adults since 1982.

Dr. Hatab is passionate about helping allergy and asthma sufferers lead active and fulfilling lives without being limited by their outdoor or indoor allergies. In addition to delivering state-of-the-art care to patients with allergic rhinitis and asthma, Dr. Hatab has special expertise in treating chronic cough, hives, angioedema (swelling episodes), and immunodeficiency disorders.

Dr. Hatab received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and went on to complete his internal medicine residency and allergy and immunology fellowship at the University of Iowa. His experience also includes teaching medical students and residents, starting a pollen counting program and participating in more than 20 clinical trials as a principal investigator or sub-investigator.

Dr. Hatab has been inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (FAAAAI), which is the national allergy organization, and is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), and other national and international professional organizations.

Dr. Hatab has also been recognized by his peers as being one of the top doctors in allergy and immunology in the Tampa Bay area in 2022 and 2023.
