Dr. Shaya Taghechian of Georgia Urology

Dr. Shaya Taghechian of Georgia Urology joins us on July 24 to discuss vasectomies.

A native of Atlanta, Dr. Taghechian received her BS in biology and BA in Chemistry from Emory University. She remained at Emory University, attending the School of Medicine where she completed her medical degree. Dr. Taghechian completed a residency in surgery and urology at the University of Texas in Houston. She joined Georgia Urology in 2011.

In addition to general urology, Dr. Taghechian has expertise in prostate health, female urology, urinary control issues, and sexual dysfunction. She thrives on fostering close relationships with her patients. She takes the time to gather information and evaluate her patients’ situations so as to come up with an individualized plan of action. She is very appreciative of her medical staff who work relentlessly alongside her to keep patients happy and healthy.

She is honored to be voted one of Atlanta’s Top Docs in 2021. She is a member of the American Urological Association.

Dr. Taghechian’s medical staff privileges include Northside Hospital Cherokee and Wellstar Cobb Hospital.

Outside of the office and operating room, Dr. Taghechian enjoys traveling and making memories with her two children and extended family.
