Dr. Kevin Kalinsky of Emory Healthcare
On October 17, the Weekly Check-Up Atlanta is joined by Dr. Kevin Kalinsky of Emory Healthcare to discuss the NFL’s Crucial Catch campaign and the importance of breast cancer screenings during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Kevin Kalinsky, MD, MS, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kalinsky serves as the director of the Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship where he is tasked with fulfilling the vision to improve breast cancer outcomes by aligning research and education with cancer treatment and prevention. A breast cancer physician and investigator, Dr. Kalinsky’s research focus is on developing new therapeutic approaches to patients with breast cancer.
Dr. Kalinsky’s research is in the area of new drug development and therapies for patients with early-stage and metastatic breast cancer. His work involves the development of clinical trials to assess novel therapeutic agents in breast cancer based on tumor genomics. He is funded by a number of sources, including the National Institutes of Health and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
