Dr. Dawn Russell

Dr. Dawn Russell of Emory Healthcare

Dr. Dawn Russell of Emory Healthcare joins us on August 22 to discuss general health and menopause.

Dr. Russell was raised on a cattle farm in North Central Kansas. Dr. Russell left the ranch to pursue her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Chicago. Upon completion, she settled at New Mexico University to complete her residency program. While there, she met her husband who played a convincing role in moving her to Washington. For the past 17 years she built a thriving practice at EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA. With a desire for improved weather and a sister in Savannah, GA, she and her husband (and cats) moved across country to embrace Emory, the Atlanta area and a broader perspective in women’s health.  Dr. Russell is dedicated to the continuum of health and healthy lifestyle for women from adolescence through pregnancy and menopause.  She is a strong advocate of evidence base and  preventative medicine.  She also relies on principles of doctor-patient relationships for team decision making to achieve the best outcome for the individual patient.
