Dr. Divya Gupta of Emory Healthcare
On January 31, the director of the Emory Advanced Heart Failure Therapy Center, Dr. Divya Gupta, joins us to discuss heart failure.
Divya Gupta, MD is the medical director for advanced heart failure and transplantation for Emory Healthcare. She actively cares for patients with heart failure, complex cardiac pathology, heart transplants, and mechanical support devices (left ventricular assist devices) in the clinics, the hospital, and in the ICU. She received her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and completed her medical education and training at Emory University School of Medicine. She has a keen interest in peripartum cardiomyopathy, mechanical support devices used to maintain circulation, and providing hope for a tomorrow to patients and their loved ones when none seems to exist through advanced options for cardiac care. In her spare time, she loves being a mom to her two wonderful daughters with the support of her husband, Ravi Rajani, MD, a vascular surgeon at Grady Hospital.
