On July 20, we’re joined by Dr. Cheryl Mitchell of CORA physical therapy and Dr. Dusty Narducci of USF Health.
Cheryl Mitchell, PT, DPT
Cheryl Mitchell, PT, DPT graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Lebanon Valley College in 2005 and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA in December of 2011.
Cheryl started with CORA Physical Therapy in November 2012 in Clearwater FL, was promoted to clinic manager of the Seminole location in April 2014 and then was promoted to Senior Clinic Manager overseeing our Seminole, St Pete, South St Pete and Largo locations in November 2016.
Special interests include vestibular, orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses including concussion management. Cheryl is certified in Concussion Management by the American Institute of Balance, SFMA level 1, Astym, and is trained in Kinesiotaping and Graston. Cheryl has continued to pursue additional research into concussion management and has developed a 12-hour CEU on Concussion Management for the Physical Therapist for CORA Physical Therapy.
In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys running, biking and playing with her 3 y/o daughter and 2 y/o son.
Dusty Narducci, MD
Dusty Marie Narducci was born and raised in Florida. She is a Molecular and Microbiology graduate of The Burnett School of Biomechanical Sciences from the University of Central Florida. She obtained her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean and Family Medicine Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship from The Mayo Clinic and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Sports Medicine.
She joined the Department of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida in 2017. She is Assistant Professor of Morsani College of Medicine. She sees patients at USF Health Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare in Family Medicine, Orthopedics/Sports Medicine and Monsour Executive Wellness Center. She is Assistant Director of The University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. She is a physician at USF’s Concussion Center and Assistant Director of the USF-Morton Plant Primary Care Fellowship. Dr. Narducci’s serves as Team Physician for the Department of Athletics at the University of South Florida as well as Team Physician for Saint Leo’s University.
She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of concussions, diagnostic and procedure-based musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as women’s health, psychiatric conditions, nutrition, and exercise. She sees patients of all ages for both general medicine and musculoskeletal concerns. She is experienced in treating professional, Olympic, college, high school, and pediatric athletes as well as weekend warriors.
