Dr. Ferhana Najam of Emory at Decatur Rheumatology

On March 3, we’re joined by Dr. Ferhana Najam from Emory at Decatur Rheumatology.

Dr. Najam received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Dow Medical College in Pakistan. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville and fellowship training in Rheumatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In the few years to follow, she continued short courses in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Dubai, as well as the American College of Rheumatology.

Prior to joining DeKalb Medical, Dr. Najam was the Attending Rheumatologist at United Regional Physicians Group, which is affiliated to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, TX.

Dr. Najam is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been in this profession for over 16 years. Her clinical interest is in general Rheumatology, and she can deal with complex rheumatologic diseases. She is also trained to do Ultrasound in management of her patients. Dr. Najam is also a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and a present member of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America (APPNA) and Wichita County Medical Alliance.

In her spare time, Dr. Najam enjoys to read, travel, paint, cook, and spend time with her family, which consists of her husband and two sons.
