Dr. Carmen Echols of Emory at Hillandale Primary Care
On November 11, Dr. Carmen Echols of Emory at Hillandale Primary Care will join us in studio to discuss primary care and diabetes for American Diabetes Month.
Dr. Carmen Echols is a board-certified family medicine physician. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans; her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan; and completed her residency and internship in Family Medicine at Georgia Health Sciences University in Augusta, Georgia. Her most recent physician experience includes Dekalb Physicians Groups Flat Shoals Internal Medicine and Stonecrest Primary Care. She has served the DeKalb area for five years.
Dr. Echols’ special medical interests include adolescent medicine, diabetes, hypertension, women’s health, and integrative medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine, Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, and the Obesity Medicine Association.
Dr. Echols is a proud wife, mother, and dog-owner who enjoys doing volunteer community service, West African dance, outdoors activities, attending cultural events and festivals, traveling and gourmet cooking.
