Three Questions with Georgia Urology’s Dr. Charles Kaplan

This week, Georgia Urology’s Dr. Charles Kaplan took the time to answer three questions related to him and his field of medicine. Georgia Urology is the largest urology practice in Atlanta and the Southeast and has been Georgia’s leader in urology since 1975.

  1. Why did you choose to work in your particular specialty?
I chose the field of urology because of the variety of surgeries it has to offer. A urology practice also allows you to work both in the office and at the hospital.
  2. What’s the most rewarding part about your job?
The most rewarding part of the job is seeing a patient feel better after the procedure I performed on them. Seeing them happy makes it all worth it.
  3. What would you do if you weren’t a doctor?
I would probably be a mechanical engineer. I like to formulate ways to repair things and improve on procedures.
