This week, Dr. Kathleen Sheerin of Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic will join us to discuss springtime allergies.

Kathleen A. Sheerin, M.D., received her bachelor’s degree at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She earned her medical degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Sheerin completed her residency at Texas Children’s Hospital/ Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she also spent a year completing a fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology. She then completed a three-year fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Sheerin is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Sheerin’s special areas of interest are food allergy and anaphylaxis.
Dr. Sheerin is also the co-chair of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology’s Anaphylaxis Public Education Task Force. Dr. Sheerin was voted one of Atlanta’s top allergists in Atlanta magazine’s “Top Doctors” issue in 2012.
She is married to Mark Moncino, M.D., who practices pediatrics. They have two sons, Harrison and Owen, who attend school at Pace Academy. In her spare time, she enjoys golf and swimming.
Dr. Sheerin joined AAAC in 1991 and sees patients at our Lawrenceville and Sandy Springs locations.
