Jon W. Wollenzien, Jr., has been the Chief Executive Officer of YourTown Health, formerly known as Palmetto Health Council, Inc., since February 1993. Prior to joining PHC, Dr. Wollenzien was the Vice President of South Fulton Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. SFMC was a 427-bed acute care, private non-profit Hospital.

Dr. Wollenzien also resided as an Associate Administrator with Charter Medical Corporation, a network of for-profit hospitals providing inpatient acute care and mental health services. Dr. Wollenzien’s first job was with Valley Health Systems, Inc., a network of Federally Qualifies Health Center’s in West Virginia.

He received his undergraduate degree from Marshall University, Huntington, WV, in business management. While working in Des Moines, Iowa, he completed his Masters in Health Care Administration from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Wollenzien received his terminal degree, Doctorate of Business Administration, at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

In 2005, Dr. Wollenzien was selected by HRSA and UCLA to participate in the Johnson & Johnson/UCLA Health Care Executive Program. Dr. Wollenzien is an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health teaching Operations Management to health policy and management graduate students.
