Dr. Scott Miller of Georgia Urology

Dr. Scott Miller has been a regular guest and host of our program since its inception. Dr. Miller helps The Weekly Check-Up with Dr. Bruce Feinberg bring together guests from various healthcare fields, interviews with health and fitness experts, and provide tips to help listeners lead better, healthier lives.

Scott D. Miller, MD practices at Georgia Urology, the largest urology practice in Atlanta and the Southeast. He is widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques. Dr. Miller coined the term LapaRobotics because of the special and unique ways in which the two techniques have come together in his treatment of urological conditions.

He is consistently named one of America’s Top Doctors, top 1% Nationally by U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Miller graduated from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his urologic residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He has been board-certified by the American Board of Urology since 1997.

Dr. Miller is continually committed to the education of others through peer-reviewed journal and book chapter publications, hands-on teaching, scientific presentations, and founding the nonprofit, ProstAware that uses music and technology to raise prostate cancer awareness. Vicki Barnett, RN, MSN, CNOR of Northside Hospital

Vicki Barnett is the Director of Surgical Services at Northside Hospital. Her job is providing vision and leadership to a major surgical division consisting of multiple entities with 40 OR Suites including inpatient and ambulatory units, orchestrating all phases of surgical services and managing over 36,000 cases per year. She is directly involved in surgical department design and construction for inpatient and outpatient facilities, and manages all phases of the operating and capital budget processes. She manages recruitment and retention of skilled staff, designing and marketing surgical programs, and maintaining ideal physician and patient satisfaction.

She received her Masters in Nursing Administration from the University of Florida.

Cindy Beatty is the Senior Clinical Sales Representative at Intuitive Surgical, Inc.
