Drink Responsibly
Did you know that a glass of red wine over dinner might make your heart healthier?
Antioxidants in red wine called polyphenols may help protect the lining of blood vessels in your heart. A polyphenol called resveratrol is another substance in red wine that helps prevent damage to blood vessels, reduces bad cholesterol and prevents blood clots.
Now, I’m not saying that you should drink the whole bottle!
But, a glass or two in the evening isn’t such a bad idea – especially if you are enjoying it with a loved one over a nice meal.
You can also cook with red wine and still reap the benefits of the heart healthy antioxidants. Do any of you have any recipes for red wine vinaigrette or a tasty marinade?
Be well,
